it wasn't a rumour though in the tradition sense, It was literally one of the parody accounts guessing what it could be when they knew there would be an announcement. I think they even reference the fact they were guessing and covering all bases in the tweet. Its literally made up.

It's a rumour. It could be total bollocks, though because it's Carroll it makes it plausible (because there have been previous instances)
Nobody is saying that they actually believe it
Let's see what the club statement says before passing judgement

Agreed. I had given up getting the ump with Carroll but he has now had so long to get fit and has been out in Switzerland and we are now told he is out for 3 months.
Just when you think his injury situation can't get any worse it does.
